Job summary

Taylor Root is partnering with a leading international law firm in London to recruit an In-House Regulatory Compliance Lawyer. The role sits within the Legal & Risk function and offers exposure to professional conduct, regulatory compliance, governance and global risk matters.

You will advise partners and stakeholders on regulatory issues, support regulator relations, help develop policies and risk frameworks, and deliver training on regulatory developments.

Qualifications

• Experience in SRA regulatory compliance, professional conduct, risk, governance or legal advisory work.

Responsibilities

• Advising partners and business stakeholders on regulatory and professional conduct issues.
• Supporting regulator relationships, investigations, incident management and regulatory reporting.
• Developing and implementing compliance policies, procedures and risk management frameworks.

We're supporting a leading international law firm in the search for a Regulatory Compliance Lawyer to join its highly regarded Legal & Risk function in London.

This is a rare opportunity to join a collaborative, high-performing team responsible for advising the firm on professional conduct, regulatory compliance, governance and legal risk matters across a global business.

The role will involve:

• Advising partners and business stakeholders on a broad range of regulatory and professional conduct issues
• Supporting the firm's relationship with its primary regulator and assisting with investigations, incident management and regulatory reporting
• Developing and implementing compliance policies, procedures and risk management frameworks
• Delivering training and guidance on key regulatory developments and risk topics.
• Working on strategic projects across the business, including governance, ESG and new business initiatives
• Collaborating with colleagues across multiple international offices and functions

Ideal candidate:

• 2-5 PQE (fee-earning or in-house lawyers)
• Experience in SRA regulatory compliance, professional conduct, risk, governance or legal advisory work gained within a law firm, professional services environment, regulator or relevant in-house legal team
