Job summary

Bupa Care Services is seeking a Risk & Governance Inspector for a 12 Month FTC (Maternity Cover) on a hybrid model in the South. The role focuses on maintaining regulatory compliance and driving quality standards across UK care services, working with senior leaders to influence improvements.

You will oversee governance inspections, provide expert guidance on CQC/CIW frameworks, analyse data trends, and support services through compliance challenges while benefiting from a 10% management bonus

  • Knowledge of UK health and social care regulatory environment and quality governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive inspections and governance reviews across care services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Provide expert guidance on regulatory frameworks including CQC, CIW and other key bodies, supporting services through inspections and compliance challenges.
  • Analyse trends, risks and quality data, producing detailed reports and actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Support services requiring additional quality and governance intervention, helping teams manage risk and improve outcomes.
  • Contribute to strategic quality improvement initiatives, investigations and organisational learning across the business.

Contract: Hybrid – Onsite 2-3 days per week & WFH

Type: 12 Month FTC (Maternity Cover). Full Time 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday

How You’ll Help Us Make Health Happen

Key Skills / Qualifications Needed For This Role
  • Professional qualification in Health and Social Care, such as Registered Nurse qualification or NVQ Level 4/5 (or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of the UK health and social care regulatory environment and quality governance frameworks.
  • Experience assessing, auditing, inspecting or reviewing care services against quality and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and build positive working relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and deliver clear, evidence-based recommendations.
