Risk Engineer - Property and Business Interruption, Northampton

Location: Home-based, South UK

Working Hours: This role is available on a part-time, job-share, and full-time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for candidates interested in advancing their career in Risk Management within the diverse and passionate Zurich Resilience Solutions team.

The role involves working with corporate, real estate, and international clients to provide tailored risk engineering solutions. It is home-based, with travel required across London and the Home Counties. The position is an essential car user (ECU) role, including a company car allowance.

Ideal candidates will have experience in Property & Business Assessments and some Account Engineering. Candidates should be eager to develop into an established Account Engineer role, supported by training. They should demonstrate ambition, customer focus, responsiveness, teamwork, and a drive for excellence.

Zurich Resilience Solutions supports clients and stakeholders with market-leading risk management services, including survey programs, account management, and technical advice.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement customer service strategies to reduce loss and improve risk management.
  • Conduct desktop and on-site assessments following internal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with your Risk Engineering Assistant to generate reports, conduct benchmarking, and review meetings.
  • Manage risk improvement actions proactively across assigned accounts.
  • Support business development by understanding Zurich Resilience Solutions' offerings and collaborating with colleagues.
  • Contribute to thought leadership through articles, publications, and events.
  • Deliver risk engineering programs in line with service agreements, collaborating with global teams when necessary.
  • Provide technical support for large building developments and refurbishments.
  • Engage with Business Partners in London regularly.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in property loss prevention, Business Interruption, and Natural Hazards; willingness to learn Fixed Fire Protection.
  • Experience assessing high-rise buildings.
  • Experience managing customer accounts and stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong presentation, customer relationship, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Commitment to self-development and supporting others' growth.
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent (desirable).
