Risk Engineer - Property and Business Interruption, Surrey

This is an exciting opportunity for candidates looking to advance their career in Risk Management with our diverse and passionate ZRS Property Team.

Location: Home-based, South UK

Closing Date for applications: Friday 29th August 2025

This role involves working with corporate, real estate, and international clients to provide tailored risk engineering solutions. It is home-based with travel to customer sites across London and the Home Counties. The position is an essential car user (ECU) role with a company car allowance.

Ideal candidates will have experience in Property & Business Assessments, some Account Engineering background, and a desire to develop into an established Account Engineer role supported by training. The role offers comprehensive training and ongoing support to ensure success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement customer service strategies to reduce loss and improve risk management.
• Conduct desktop and on-site assessments following internal guidelines.
• Collaborate with Risk Engineering Assistants to generate reports and review customer service performance.
• Manage risk improvement actions proactively across assigned accounts.
• Support business development by understanding Zurich Resilience Solutions propositions.
• Contribute to thought leadership through events, articles, and publications.
• Deliver risk engineering programs in line with service agreements, collaborating with global networks and contractors.
• Provide technical support for large building developments and refurbishments.
• Engage regularly with business partners in London.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in property loss prevention, Business Interruption, and Natural Hazards; willingness to upskill in Fixed Fire Protection.
• Experience assessing High Rise buildings.
• Experience managing customer accounts and stakeholder relationships.
• Strong presentation, influencing, and negotiation skills.
• Commitment to self and team development.
• Degree in Engineering or equivalent (desirable).
