Risk Engineer - Property and Business Interruption, Bournemouth

This is an exciting opportunity for candidates looking to advance their career in Risk Management within a diverse and passionate team.

Location: Home-based, South UK

Working hours: Part-time, job-share, and full-time options available

Application deadline: 4th July 2025

This role involves working with Corporate, Real Estate, and international clients, providing tailored risk engineering solutions. It requires travel across London and the Home Counties and includes an ECU company car allowance.

Candidates should have experience in Property & Business Assessments, with a desire to develop into an Account Engineer role supported by training. The role offers comprehensive training and ongoing support.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing customer service strategies to reduce loss and improve risk management
  • Conducting desktop and on-site assessments
  • Generating reports and conducting review meetings
  • Managing risk improvement actions
  • Supporting business development and technical insight sharing
  • Delivering risk engineering programs and providing technical support for large projects

Qualifications and experience:

  • Experience in property loss prevention, Business Interruption, and Natural Hazards; willingness to learn Fixed Fire Protection
  • Experience assessing High Rise buildings
  • Customer account management and stakeholder relationship skills
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent (desirable)
