Job description

Global insurance company seeks a Risk Engineer, reporting to the Global Head of Risk Management. The role involves conducting detailed risk surveys both in the field and through desktop reviews.

The responsibilities include making risk quality assessments, calculating Loss Estimations, providing risk improvement recommendations, and advising underwriters on technical matters.

Time will be divided between performing on-site surveys and desktop reviews, assessing risks based on available information, documenting findings, making recommendations to underwriting colleagues, and advising customers on a one-to-one basis.

Requirements:

  • Formal Engineering qualification (Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, or similar)
  • Experience in Engineering and/or Construction industry
  • Experience working with large and complex projects
  • Solid understanding of Construction / Property Engineering Risk and related Insurance and Claims
  • Excellent communication, analytical, relationship management, and decision-making skills
  • Resilient to change, collaborative, and a strong team player
  • Continuous pursuit of innovation and improvement
  • Customer-oriented mindset
  • Proven experience in large and complex risk assessment
  • Experience or background in insurance risk engineering is advantageous
