What Is the Opportunity?

Delivers concise and accurate risk control services to clients in assigned territory to assist in the control and prevention of losses. Provides technical advice and account information to underwriting business partners for risk assessment and analysis.

We are looking for someone based in the South/South West of England.

What Will You Do?

1. Conduct risk control surveys at client locations to determine potential hazards and risk factors to be considered in underwriting/risk selection.
2. Write technically detailed reports that provide a clear assessment of risk and clearly articulate recommendations.
3. Consult with clients on ways to control hazards in order to reduce or prevent losses.
4. Build and maintain productive relationships with underwriting and service teams, brokers/agents, claims, other Risk Control staff, and clients.
5. Conduct research for underwriters or clients on class of business, operations, or similar technical subjects.
6. Analyze loss trends and recognize opportunities to provide risk control products and/or services to reduce losses.
7. Maintain current knowledge of regulatory environment and emerging safety issues.
8. Operate in accordance with company policies, procedures, and controls.
9. Assist in creating and maintaining client/broker materials and conduct training/presentations/seminars as needed.
10. Consult and negotiate with professional advisors and authorities regarding loss control management for compliance and safety enhancements.
11. Promote Travelers' products and philosophy through regular client visits to maximize growth and profit.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

• Experience in safety, risk control, or related fields such as construction, manufacturing, military, or a relevant bachelor's degree.
• Ability to attain appropriate certification to meet legal requirements where applicable.
