Risk Consultant - Property

AXA XL Risk Consulting (Formerly AXA Matrix and Global Asset Protection Services - GAPS) is looking for a qualified Risk Consultant who will partner with the underwriting team in evaluating account risk quality and coordinate the scope and delivery of property loss prevention services to clients - ultimately supporting our profitable growth strategy.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

1. Utilizing internal and external information, tools, and resources to evaluate account risk quality and communicate this evaluation to underwriting team members clearly and concisely.
2. Managing the scope and scale of loss prevention services delivered to a portfolio of clients, based on client expectations, underwriting requirements and service cost constraints.
3. Working directly with clients to improve their property risk profile.
4. Supporting the sales and marketing effort of the group by promoting our brand and service capabilities to prospective clients and brokers - maintaining industry relationships.
5. Enhancing the environment at AXA XL by participating actively in process improvements and special projects.
6. Lending your expertise and experience to continually expand the knowledge and development efforts of other team members.

You will report to the Team Leader, UK.

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

1. Extensive fire protection risk engineering experience.
2. Previous experience in property loss prevention or industry.
3. Good knowledge of BS EN 12845, NFPA codes and FM data sheets.
4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
5. Broad understanding of key underwriting decision points.
6. Customer relationship and negotiation skills.
7. Proficient presentation skills, including written and verbal.
8. Ability to summarize large amounts of information and deliver against deadlines.
9. Knowledge of functionality of IT systems.
10. Skilled in time management and work techniques.
11. Degree in Engineering (or equivalent) desirable.
