This is a permanent, hybrid role, based in our London office, with the requirement to be in the office 2 / 3 days a week.

As a Risk & Compliance Specialist, you’ll deliver second-line oversight and expert consultancy across Omnis, supporting the Compliance Plan and regulatory assurance. You’ll assess risks, review controls, and ensure timely completion of actions. The role demands sound judgement and the ability to work independently.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advising business areas on recommended control improvement actions, driving ownership, accountability and timely completion of actions.
  • Providing investment risk and compliance consultancy to key stakeholders at all levels across the business.
  • Leading on second line engagement change initiatives.
  • Supporting the delivery of the Omnis and group wide strategy.
  • Supporting the Head of Risk and Compliance in the development and delivery of the Compliance Plan.
  • Completion of risk-based compliance assurance activities
  • Supporting and pro-actively working with the Head of Risk and Compliance to effectively manage and deliver Depositary and FCA requests to high standard.
  • Reviewing, tracking, reporting and escalating fund adherence to investment borrowing powers as set out in COLL 5 and in the ICVC Prospectuses.
  • Collating and presenting of Compliance reporting and KPI tracking for use within the team and any relevant Committee(s).
  • Reviewing daily risk measurement checks such as Derivative exposures and the fund’s compliance with VaR limits, VaR back-testing overshoots and Liquidity thresholds and escalation where appropriate.

What you'll need to succeed?

  • Operational risk and compliance experience in the investment management sector particularly in an ACD business.
  • Strong understanding and experience of 2LoD compliance monitoring techniques and regulatory requirements, including investment principles, investment types and portfolio liquidity.
  • Excellent oral/written communication, influencing, facilitation and negotiating skills.
  • Exceptionally well-organized, with a proven track record of maintaining detailed records and robust audit trails.
  • Problem Solving, interpretation, decision making and judgement skills.
  • Ability to lead and implement change.
  • Excellent planning and organising skills.
  • A proficient user of Microsoft Office applications including as a minimum Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
