Overview
Our client has a new opening for a Risk & Compliance Manager in their Jersey office. This is a full-time position, though they are open to considering candidates looking to work reduced hours and are also flexible with working hours.
Job Duties
- Assist the Risk & Compliance team and Enterprise Risk Management Committee to embed a risk and compliance focused culture across the firm.
- Develop and maintain risk, compliance, and regulatory awareness across the firm.
- Establish and maintain the firm\'s strategic risk registers.
- Provide practical, effective, and business-focused risk, compliance, and technical advice to the Partners, Directors, and service lines.
- Analyse laws and regulations, identify key changes, assess the likely impact, and provide guidance on appropriate actions.
- Maintain, review, and update all Risk & Compliance policies and procedures at least annually.
- Develop and deliver technical compliance training.
- Prepare monthly Enterprise Risk Management meeting packs as required.
- Identify additions and improvements to the Compliance Monitoring Programme, undertake relevant monitoring tasks, and produce comprehensive results-based reports.
- Maintain regulatory registers on behalf of the Enterprise Risk Management team (complaints, avoidable/unavoidable losses, breaches).
- Lead projects to improve standardisation of policies, procedures, and form-sets.
- Undertake ad-hoc project work as required.
- Review and action all sanctions and other relevant notices as appropriate.
- Monitor the Compliance mailbox to ensure email traffic is dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
- Act as Line Manager for the Risk & Compliance administrators.
