Job summary

Law Staff Legal Recruitment on the Hertfordshire/Essex border seeks a detail-driven Risk & Compliance Lawyer with 2–6 years in a similar role to build expertise across data protection, AML, regulatory compliance and risk management.

You will handle day-to-day data protection matters, manage subject access requests, support onboarding, conduct AML/KYC checks, respond to risk queries, and assist with investigations and client complaints in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of experience in a law firm.
• Law degree or equivalent.
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Willing to learn and develop in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day data protection compliance matters.
• Manage subject access requests and responses to potential data breaches.
• Support the firm's onboarding processes.

• Assist with ongoing AML compliance in line with UK regulations.

• Support and draft responses to client complaints.
