BNY is offering a Summer Internship Program in Risk & Compliance, a 10-week experience designed to accelerate development, build professional networks, and provide exposure to a global financial services franchise. Interns collaborate with global teams across credit, market, liquidity, technology, and enterprise risk, while gaining hands-on experience in AI governance and responsible AI adoption.

Participants will learn how governance and risk controls translate into safer, sustainable growth.

Qualifications

Pursuing an undergraduate degree with interest in business and/or technology.
Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
Interest in risk, compliance, and AI governance.

Responsibilities

Support risk and compliance activities by applying frameworks and oversight.
Analyze information, identify trends, assess risk across business areas.
Assist with reviews, reporting, and governance documentation.
Gain exposure to risk areas such as credit, market, liquidity, operational, technology, and AI.
Explore how AI and data-driven tools can improve risk identification and controls.
Help teams assess AI-related risks and ensure appropriate human oversight.
