Risk Business Analyst – Intraday Risk

Location: London - Hybrid (3 days on-site)

Salary: £550-£650

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our Risk Practice, focusing on Intraday Risk Management within Equities and Prime Financing, supporting regulatory commitments to the PRA, and enhancing front-office risk visibility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data to improve understanding of Equities and Prime Financing Risk & PnL, ensuring solutions align with business objectives.

The role includes:
  • Developing a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape and risk/PnL architecture in Equities & Prime Financing.
  • Collaborating with Product Owners to deliver accurate data analysis and develop effective risk management solutions.
  • Working with colleagues to leverage best practices and shared data.
  • Balancing tactical and strategic needs, considering cost-benefit and time-to-market.
  • Engaging stakeholders and providing regular reports on progress and insights.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience in Business Analysis within a Global Markets Risk & PnL environment, preferably in Equities.
  • Strong Cash Products experience (Bonds, MMA’s, CDs).
  • Track record of delivering high-quality data analysis in a Global Markets setting.
  • Supporting data-driven decision-making, ideally in an Agile environment.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience building tools for intraday market risk management, especially for Prime Finance and front-office lines.
  • Understanding of aggregator systems for PRA compliance.
  • Experience with external pricing data validation and data integrity.
  • Ability to validate market risk numbers for accuracy and compliance.
  • Strong market risk knowledge and effective liaising with trading and risk teams.
  • Familiarity with external pricing libraries and data validation processes.
  • Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for Agile project management.
  • Solid understanding of business analysis methodologies and project lifecycles.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cross-asset experience in Global Markets Risk & PnL.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under regulatory scrutiny and tight deadlines.
