Job description

Risk & Assurance Officer required - 3 months (Housing)

I am currently working with a leading housing organisation based in Edinburgh that supports the housing needs of vulnerable people in the area. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Risk and Assurance Officer to join an existing team of housing professionals (approximately 2 months).

The team is seeking to appoint a talented individual to join their housing assets and leadership team on a temporary basis.

This role involves developing and improving housing and care quality assurance processes across the estate. You will maintain and manage ongoing improvement audits based on identified risk levels, conduct evaluations across various sites, and collaborate with local teams to identify potential improvements.

You will be responsible for analyzing, reviewing, and implementing actions to support tenants while liaising with management to ensure all work is realistic and essential.

The ideal candidate will have a background in housing or risk management. Experience within housing associations, local authorities, or similar organisations will be considered. Candidates should have experience in a regulated industry and possess knowledge of audit and improvement processes.

This role will be both office and site-based, requiring your own transport. All locations are within local areas, and mileage will be paid at a standard rate.

A competitive hourly rate, circa £35-37k, is on offer, along with flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
