Risk and Compliance Specialist, Transportation, Risk and Compliance

*This role can be based in Munich, Berlin, Paris, Gdansk, or London.

Amazon Transportation Services has built a world-class Middle Mile operation, relying on an exceptional pool of carriers who work relentlessly to meet our customers’ expectations. TRC is seeking a Compliance and Risk Analyst to audit Amazon Middle-Mile carrier partners’ compliance with contractual and legal requirements, fostering a compliance culture both internally and externally.

We want someone with strong audit experience, preferably in transport, capable of:

  1. Conducting thorough carrier audits across different business models
  2. Identifying compliance, safety, regulatory, and reputational risks, and proposing risk mitigation solutions
  3. Delivering detailed audit reports for carriers and business teams

The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, a data-driven mindset, excellent soft skills for stakeholder management, and the ability to earn carriers’ trust. Team spirit and autonomy are also essential.

Key job responsibilities
  • Vet Middle-Mile carrier candidates against Amazon policies before onboarding
  • Audit carrier partners to ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and regulatory standards
  • Provide comprehensive audit reports with highlights, lowlights, and recommendations
  • Communicate clear findings and corrective actions to carriers to help them achieve compliance
  • Conduct short-notice compliance audits as needed
  • Investigate suspicious carrier activity posing risks to Amazon, customers, or others
  • Meet individual and team goals with diligence
  • Maintain high standards of audit productivity and quality
  • Lead or participate in special projects as required
A day in the life

No day is the same; you will work with many carriers across the network, assessing compliance and trending key problem areas to inform long-term solutions.

About the team

The team is based across Europe, working independently in each country while collaborating regularly on key topics and regional trends.

Minimum requirements
  • Audit experience, preferably in transport
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Project management and process improvement experience
  • Ability to work with international teams with integrity and team spirit
  • Strong analytical and interpretative skills
  • Proficiency in Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Research and investigation skills
  • Experience handling confidential data
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%
Preferred qualifications
  • Transportation experience (e.g., Transport Manager, Fleet Manager) and knowledge of local laws
  • Compliance and risk management experience
  • Professional auditing qualification
  • Experience with data software (e.g., Tableau, QuickBase)
  • Fluency in French, German, Italian, Lithuanian, or Spanish
