Job summary

Anthony Collins in Birmingham is seeking a Risk and Compliance Manager to lead complex regulatory matters, supporting the Head of Risk, Compliance & Knowledge and delivering expert guidance across the firm. You will work with partners, legal teams and business services to drive compliant practices in housing, property, social business and charities.

This permanent, full-time role offers hybrid working, training, and opportunities to influence regulatory outcomes across the firm.

Qualifications

• Significant legal sector risk and compliance experience with strong knowledge of SRA regulation, AML, conflicts and data protection.
• Proven ability to interpret complex legislation and apply regulatory requirements within a commercial legal practice.
• Confidence to influence, challenge and support partners and senior stakeholders on compliance issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice on SRA Standards & Regulations, AML, conflicts, data protection and wider regulatory requirements.
• Lead compliance audits, investigations and risk reviews, identifying improvements and driving best practice.
• Manage professional indemnity claims and support complaints handling and regulatory reporting.
• Deliver training, guidance and challenge to partners and senior stakeholders on risk and compliance matters.
• Lead projects responding to regulatory change and emerging compliance risks across the firm.

Ready to take the lead on complex legal risk and compliance matters in a firm that advises organisations and individuals, making a positive difference to society? You will support the Head of Risk, Compliance & Knowledge in delivering a specialist risk and compliance service across the firm. Working closely with partners, legal teams and business services colleagues, you will provide expert guidance on complex regulatory matters and help ensure compliance across the sectors we serve, including housing, property, social business and charities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice on SRA Standards & Regulations, AML, conflicts, data protection and wider regulatory requirements.
• Lead compliance audits, investigations and risk reviews, identifying improvements and driving best practice.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
