Job Title: Risk Analyst

Location: Freemarket offers a hybrid working model. You should be able to attend the office in London Bridge when required, on average twice per week.

Responsibilities:

As a Risk Analyst, you will:

  • Support the enhancement of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, monitored and reported effectively
  • Support the Risk Manager with Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Operational Resilience and regulatory reporting.
  • Support the Third-Party Risk Management framework, helping assess and monitor vendor risks
  • Maintain and develop Risk Registers, Risk Assessments, Risk Appetite statements, and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
  • Help embed the three lines of defense model and related risk policies and procedures across the business
  • Create clear, insightful risk presentations and management information for senior stakeholders
  • Monitor and interpret regulatory developments, advising on their business impact and required changes
  • Support with the GRC platform to ensure accurate and up to date risk data and reporting
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to influence risk awareness and culture

Requirements:

Skills & Attributes:

  • Ability to challenge the status quo and enhance the risk & compliance culture
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Confident in presenting risk concepts clearly and meaningfully to different audiences
  • Highly organised, proactive and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)

Experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 years hands-on experience in a Risk Management role (e.g. Operational, Third party, Enterprise or Compliance Risk)
  • Understanding of risk frameworks and the three lines of defense model
  • Experience working with the UK and EU regulatory landscape

Desirable:

  • Experience in Third-Party Risk Management
  • Background in FX, Payments, or Financial Services
  • Exposure to Operational Resilience, Business Continuity or Crisis Management
  • Experience using a GRC platform
