Job summary

The Wrekin Housing Group Limited is seeking a Risk and Assurance Trainee to join our team. This role offers hybrid working between our Telford, Shrewsbury or Staffordshire offices, with training leading to a recognised professional qualification (IRM).

No prior risk experience is required as full training, mentoring and support are provided. You will learn to identify, assess and manage risks, support assurance activities and promote continuous improvement while contributing to the delivery of

Role:Risk and Assurance Trainee

Location:Hybrid Working – working between our Telford, Shrewsbury or Staffordshire offices
Salary:Starting at £25,795 increasing to £34,994 per annum
Contract:36 hours per week. Monday to Friday (Full-time, Permanent)

About the Role

As a Risk and Assurance Trainee, you'll work closely with colleagues across the organisation to help identify, assess and manage risks, support assurance activities and promote a culture of continuous improvement. You’ll use risk management to inform decision making and help us deliver safe, high-quality homes and excellent services to our customers. Please read the job description for further details.

What we’re looking for

You don't need previous experience in risk or assurance. We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic with a willingness to learn and have:

• The ability to build positive working relationships;
• Strong written and excellent verbal communication skills;

• Confidence in using Microsoft Office applications. Particularly Outlook, Excel and Word;
