Phillip Nova Pte Ltd is seeking a Risk Analyst (Data, Automation & AI) to join its Middle Office risk management team in a live trading environment. The role focuses on applying automation and AI to improve risk operations, with exposure across futures, options, FX, CFDs and equities.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related disciplines.
• Strong interest in automation, AI, technology, and financial markets.
• Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages.
• Familiarity with AI tools, prompt engineering, automation platforms, or machine learning concepts is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Curious mindset with a willingness to learn and experiment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Understand Financial Markets & Risk Operations: gain hands-on exposure to risk monitoring and trading operations workflows.

Phillip Nova, a leading financial brokerage firm, is seeking a Risk Analyst (Data, Automation & AI) to join our Middle Office (Risk Management) team.

This role is ideal for fresh graduates and early-career professionals who are passionate about technology, data, automation, and artificial intelligence, and want to apply these skills in a live trading environment.

You will work alongside experienced risk professionals and business stakeholders to understand how global financial markets operate, identify process inefficiencies, and develop automation and AI-driven solutions. Over time, you will gain exposure across Futures, Options, FX, CFDs, and Equities while helping shape the next generation of risk management systems.

This is not a traditional operations role. You will be part of a team driving the digital transformation of risk management through automation, analytics, and emerging AI technologies.

What You Will Be Doing

1) Understand Financial Markets & Risk Operations

• Gain hands-on exposure to risk monitoring and trading operations workflows
• Learn how risk is managed across global exchanges and trading sessions
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business processes and operational challenges
• Develop a strong understanding of Futures, Options, FX, CFDs, and Equities markets

2) Build Automation Solutions

• Design and develop solutions to replace existing Excel- and VBA-based processes
• Automate repetitive tasks and workflows using Python and modern automation tools
• Help drive the department towards scalable and fully automated processes

3) Apply AI to Real Business Problems

• Explore and implement practical AI solutions to improve efficiency and controls
• Develop AI-assisted workflows, reporting tools, and intelligent monitoring systems
• Gain exposure to emerging technologies including Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and Agentic AI frameworks
• Evaluate and prototype new AI use cases for risk management and operations

4) Enhance Internal Systems

• Maintain and improve internally developed tools and applications
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing automation programs
• Contribute to the long-term sustainability of the department’s technology initiatives

5) Drive Innovation

• Identify opportunities where technology can create meaningful business value
• Recommend and implement improvements to operational and risk management processes
• Participate in projects involving data analytics, automation, and AI adoption

What We Are Looking For
