About Us:

We are looking for a talented Risk Analyst to join our team and contribute to our mission of effective risk management in the financial services sector.

About the Role:

The Risk Analyst will focus primarily on Credit Risk, supporting ongoing monitoring and oversight of the society's lending. You will contribute to the development of credit policies and related models, including affordability assessments and stress testing, to ensure prudent and regulatory-compliant credit risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor credit risk performance of the portfolio, including arrears, provisions, and portfolio trends.
  2. Maintain and develop credit risk policies across the lending lifecycle, including underwriting, portfolio management, and collections.
  3. Provide second-line oversight of credit decisioning.
  4. Support risk appetite setting, monitoring, and reporting.
  5. Review proposed product changes and credit strategies from a policy and risk perspective.
  6. Assist with regulatory submissions, audits, and Board/Committee reporting.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in credit risk, policy, or risk governance roles within financial services.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to present data clearly and effectively.
  • Proficiency in SAS, SQL, or Python for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling.
  • A degree in a numerate discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and manage stakeholders at all levels.
