Risk Analyst, controls testing oversight

We're seeking a Risk Analyst to support their internal controls testing initiative. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a critical function within the organisation as they embark on their first round of controls testing.

Role Overview:
As a Risk Analyst, you will oversee and coordinate the testing of internal controls conducted by a team in India. You will play a vital role in ensuring that the testing processes are effective and compliant, while also identifying areas for improvement. This role requires a generalist approach, focusing on foundational risk management principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the testing of internal controls conducted by the offshore team.
  2. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand control objectives and testing requirements.
  3. Review and analyse testing results, identifying potential failures and areas of concern.
  4. Provide guidance and support to the team in India to ensure accurate and effective testing.
  5. Prepare reports summarising testing outcomes, including risks and recommendations for remediation.
  6. Assist in developing and implementing enhanced testing methodologies for future assessments.
  7. Facilitate communication between various departments to ensure alignment on risk management priorities.

Qualifications:
  1. Proven experience in risk management or internal controls, preferably in a corporate setting.
  2. Familiarity with internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO, COBIT) is a plus.
  3. Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively with offshore teams and manage remote relationships effectively.
  6. Experience in a generalist risk analyst role or similar position is preferred.
