Job description

Our Risk and Compliance Team is looking for an experienced Risk Advisor to join them on a 12-month FTC.

We support Baringa with all compliance needs, from client onboarding and championing ethical business standards to implementing new regulations and preventing financial crime. We also provide a framework for enterprise risk management across the organisation, helping to ensure that relevant risks and controls are accurately identified, assessed, captured, and proactively managed.

What you will be doing

• Managing Baringa’s ERM system (Riskonnect)
• Liaising with risk champions across all Business Sectors and Baringa Enablement to review, update, recommend, and amend risks
• Producing ERM management reports and data analysis
• Supporting the Risk & Compliance team in conducting risk assessments covering Baringa’s operations, clients, and third parties
• Assisting in the execution and delivery of strategic projects to enhance the company’s risk and compliance culture
• Supporting the development of Baringa’s ERM governance, including reviews of risk scoring methodology and consistency across the organization, with recommendations for improvements
• Supporting the Compliance team in implementing the compliance framework and developing new compliance programs
• Assisting in day-to-day compliance activities, including due diligence reviews of clients and suppliers

Your skills and experience

• Experience in risk management and/or compliance
• Project management experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presenting technical risk information clearly
• Problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
• Experience working collaboratively with stakeholders at various levels
• Ability to identify risks related to business processes, operations, and technology projects
• Strong knowledge of Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
