Risk & Compliance Solicitor – Cardiff

TSR Legal are currently representing a leading law firm based in Cardiff, who are looking to expand its Risk and Compliance team. The team are responsible for providing essential risk-related advice, compliance guidance, and general support across the firm.

About You

The ideal candidate will have some experience in risk and compliance with or a strong interest in developing their career in this area. You should be a qualified solicitor, with relevant Risk & Compliance experience, even if not formally qualified.

The Role

• Managing the risk and compliance imbox triaging queries, and responding as needed.
• Acting as the first point of escalation for team members handling risk and compliance queries.
• Assisting senior Risk Lawyers in maintaining breach logs and other compliance records, ensuring appropriate reporting.
• Providing a Risk & Compliance perspective on various internal projects. Supporting senior team members on key R&C projects, including a new
• Client Matter Inception initiative. Assisting with Data Protection matters, including advising on internal data breaches, handling Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), and working alongside the Data Protection Manager on compliance initiatives.
• Preparing materials for escalated decisions, either for senior lawyers, the COLP, or the MLRO.
• Offering R&C guidance and support to Business Services teams and international offices.
