Job summary

microTECH Global LTD is seeking a capable embedded software engineer in Cambridge to work on RISC-V firmware and driver development, with emphasis on Rust and C. The role covers software hardening tools, embedded OS work, compilers, and performance analysis in resource-constrained environments.

You will contribute to simulators, emulation, and CI pipelines, ensuring high reliability, security-minded tooling, and efficient builds across the embedded software stack.

Qualifications

• Solid experience with C or Rust.
• Strong algorithmic and problem solving skills.
• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• A high standard of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• RISC-V firmware and driver development.
• Software hardening and security tools.
• Embedded operating systems (in Rust and C).
• Compilers, code generators, and linters.
• Simulators and emulators (e.g. QEMU).
• Performance and code size analysis.
