Job summary

McLaren Racing in the UK seeks a Rigs and Component Testing Technician to support testing programmes within the Research & Technology function. You will work with specialist test rigs, dynamometers and instrumentation to validate component performance and compliance for our Formula One cars.

You will install and maintain sensors, analyze data, prepare reports and collaborate with engineers across multiple teams, while supporting external test facilities when required.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle testing, motorsport, automotive or high-performance engineering.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical docs.
• Experience with instrumentation and data acquisition for validation testing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct validation, durability and sign-off testing of vehicle components.
• Install, calibrate and maintain test instrumentation and sensors.
• Service and test metallic/composite components and support sign-off activities.
• Analyse test data, prepare reports and communicate findings to engineers.
