Job summary

3t Training Services are seeking to appoint a Rigging and Lifting instructor to work from our Teesside facility with occasional travel to North Shields. Deliver high‑quality training across OPITO, GWO and ECITB, and support trainees and instructors while upholding 3t standards.

The role requires current rigging and lifting delivery experience or a transition from industry. We offer a structured environment with employed benefits and career progression in safety‑critical training.

• OPITO Rigger Stage 3 / 4
• OPITO Banksman Stage 3 / 4
• Crane Operative Qualification/Card (or willingness to work towards)
• Level 3 teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards)
• Assessor Award (or willingness to work towards)

Responsibilities

• Deliver courses as required in line with 3t and accrediting body requirements
• Support customers during course delivery as appropriate
• Obtain positive customer feedback following course completion in line with KPIs
• Participate in standardisation and continuing professional development events
• Provide support to trainee and existing Instructor/Assessors as appropriate
• Support department growth through technical input to new courses, training standards, customer meetings and continual improvement of existing courses
• Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment
• Apply 3t and where appropriate Client’s HSE Policies and Procedures
• Ensure that all 3t quality and operational procedures are adhered to at all times
• Maintain and embrace ownership of departmental policies and procedures

3t is currently looking to recruit Rigging and Lifting Instructors in North Shields and Teesside, England.

This role is contracted at 40 hours per week. The standard working pattern will be 7.30am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday.

The Opportunity

3t Training Services are seeking to appoint a Rigging and Lifting instructor to work out of our Teesside training facility with occasional travel to North Shields. The purpose of the role is to deliver high-quality, approved training across awarding bodies including OPITO, GWO and ECITB. The successful candidate will be someone currently delivering rigging and lifting training or someone wishing to transition from industry to training.
