Job description

Stafforce are recruiting for Rigger/Lasher Port Operatives to work for our prestigious client based at Tilbury Docks.

Responsibilities:
  1. Working on vessels/ships supporting the loading and unloading of containers.
  2. You will be responsible for working in a team environment chaining and unchaining containers to the ship to secure in transit.
  3. Working as a Banksman, responsible for the direction of tug drivers on ship and safety positioning of the team.
  4. Inspect tools and equipment and report any damages.
  5. Adhere to safety protocols and processes and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Skills:
  1. Previous port experience a benefit but not essential as full training will be given.
  2. Able to pass port specific tests such as drug and alcohol testing.
  3. Have a full UK Driving Licence and your own transport.
  4. Ability to work in an industrial high focused health & safety work area, and perform physical tasks.
  5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy whilst on-board ship.

Pay: £12.78-£19.60 per hour plus potential £1.50 per hour Attendance Bonus.

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shift
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability
