UEC Mechanical Engineering Ltd is seeking experienced riggers to join the team on a fixed-term basis at Immingham. The role focuses on safe preparation, inspection, assembly and dismantling of rigging equipment for lifting heavy machinery, with strict adherence to LOLER regulations and health and safety standards.

Responsibilities include setting up rigging gear, coordinating with crane operators and site staff, and maintaining equipment to high safety standards.

Formación

• Proven rigging experience on industrial sites.
• Strong knowledge of lifting operations and rigging procedures.
• Familiarity with LOLER regulations and safety standards.
• NVQ/certification and Safety Passport held.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect, assess and prepare loads prior to lifting and movement operations.
• Set up and prepare rigging equipment, including lifting beams, pulleys, clamps, bolts and associated lifting accessories.
• Assist with the safe lifting, moving and positioning of heavy equipment and materials.
• Inspect, monitor and maintain rigging equipment to ensure it remains safe and fit for purpose.
• Coordinate lifting activities with crane operators and other site personnel to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Ensure all lifting and rigging operations comply with LOLER requirements and company procedures.
• Report defects, hazards or unsafe conditions and maintain a safe working environment.
• Dismantle rigging equipment after lifting operations and perform post-use inspections.
