Wood is currently recruiting for a Rig Manager to support our client’s site at Northop on a permanent basis.

Hybrid working - 3 days working from the client’s site at Northop.

Expected Qualifications and Experience:

  • Department of Transport Certificate of Competency as a Chief Engineer Class 1 Motor or Master Mariner (Class 1)
  • Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training course
  • OGUK and ENG.1 offshore medicals
  • Exposure to the offshore industry, particularly MODUs or jack-ups, is an advantage
  • Good understanding of legislation related to the classification of ships
  • Knowledge of safety cases and verification schemes for offshore installations
  • Awareness of PFEER, DCR, COSHH, and LOLER regulations
  • Experience with fully automated machinery and electronically controlled systems
  • Experience with computerised planned maintenance systems
  • Understanding of Risk Assessment and Permit to Work systems
  • Familiarity with STOP and/or Synergi software
  • Company induction training covering operations, safety, QA/QC, and environmental protection
  • Proficiency in 'Word', 'Excel', and ‘MS Project’
