A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Richmond upon Thames is seeking a passionate and insightful Sociology Teacher to join their Social Sciences department on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire young people to develop a critical understanding of society, exploring social structures, inequalities, and the forces that shape human behaviour.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking Sociology lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5, introducing students to key sociological concepts, theories, and research methods.
  • Foster a critical awareness of social issues and inequalities, encouraging students to analyze and evaluate different perspectives on contemporary social problems.
  • Create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where students feel confident to discuss and debate sociological ideas, applying their knowledge to real-world situations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a stimulating Sociology curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
