Job summary

The Rheumatology Nurse role at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust involves working with Specialist Rheumatology Nurses to provide high-quality, patient-centred care for individuals with rheumatological and musculoskeletal conditions. The role supports patients to manage their condition physically, emotionally and socially, aiming for the best possible outcomes.

Based at Kitson Hall, Torbay Hospital, the position is mainly office-based but requires working across TSDFT hospitals;

Responsibilities

• Follow induction and training.
• Organise and action patients' test results.
• Recognise and action management plans for abnormal results for patients on DMARDs using Trust IT systems.
• Answer patient queries to the Rheumatology helpline by email and telephone.
• Participate in education presentations for patients and staff.
• Manage all aspects of rheumatology conditions.
• Continue to develop through CPD and undertake mandatory training.
• Work between TSDFT hospitals; mainly office-based position.
