Job summary

Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Rheumatology Nurse to join our outpatient service in Exeter. The post holder will run clinics, manage a personal caseload, and deliver high-quality, evidence-based care within the MDT framework.

This fixed-term contract runs from 27/08/2026 to 26/08/2027. A Band 7 background is preferred, but Band 5 with rheumatology interest will be considered. 4 days per week; interviews to be confirmed.

Qualifications

• Several years of Rheumatology nursing experience.
• Special interest in developing Rheumatology Nursing services.
• Ability to run outpatient clinics independently and manage own caseload.
• Experience working with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Run outpatient Rheumatology clinics and provide high quality evidence-based care.
• Develop and support the Rheumatology Nursing service with the MDT.
• Manage own workload and assess/treat patients day-to-day without direct guidance.
