Job summary

Skycare seeks a Registered General Nurse (RGN) to provide compassionate, person-centred care in a purpose-built 81-bed care home in Shrewsbury. You will join a supportive team, receive induction training, and have opportunities for career progression.

Relocation support is available, paid breaks on 12-hour shifts, DBS check funded, and a structured development plan to enhance nursing competencies in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Registered Nurse is desirable.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Valid NMC PIN without restrictions.
• Experience working with the elderly.
• Demonstrate an understanding and application of relevant legislation in relation to the role.
• Clear DBS and 2 satisfactory references.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and needs; develop and implement nursing care plans and maintain medical records.
• Administer nursing care to ill, injured, and long-term service users.
• Produce accurate, contemporaneous records of service user interaction and consultation.
• Supervise and train nursing assistants and junior nursing staff.
• Support, manage and guide support workers daily.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; provide direct patient care and monitor vital signs.
