Job summary

The Cottage Christian Nursing Home in Newport, Shropshire is seeking a dedicated registered nurse (RGN/RMN) to join the senior care team. You will lead the care team, oversee clinical interventions, and manage medical administration with a focus on maintaining the residents' independence and quality of life.

You will work nights on a set 2-week rolling rota that includes alternate weekends, ensuring welfare and safety of residents while upholding high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse (RGN/RMN) with an active pin.
• Experience caring for others in a care setting is essential.
• Willing to work nights and on a rolling rota including alternate weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead the care team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
• Oversee clinical interventions and supervision of medical administration.
• Administer medications and perform clinical procedures as required.
• Ensure resident welfare and safety during night shifts.

Job description

We are looking for caring, sensitive, compassionate individuals to join our senior care team to support the delivery of a high quality service to our service users, enhancing their quality of life, whilst promoting independence. We provide person centered care which starts with a care plan for every resident. Documented in this are all the daily living activities needs and preferences; therefore your duties will include, ensuring the welfare of the residents at night including the security of the home, leading the care team, overseeing clinical interventions, oversight of medical administration along with administering medication and clinical procedures. Experience of caring for others in a care setting is essential. You must be a registered nurse (RGN/RMN) with an active nurse pin and up to date clinical knowledge.
