Job description

Our client is the world’s 4th largest global fabless semiconductor company, leading the market in chipset technology. They enable more than 1.5 billion consumer electronic products a year including Smart TVs, Voice Assistant Devices (VAD), Android tablets, feature phones, Optical and Blu-ray DVD players, and are number one globally in mobile phones.


This is a great opportunity to be a key contributor in a highly experienced global RF team working on state-of-the-art 5G RF products in advanced CMOS processes.


Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Specification, architecture design, circuit design, implementation, verification, and production release of 5G RF ICs.
  2. Developing highly innovative architectures and circuit designs to achieve leading-edge performance and excellent results on first silicon.
  3. Working closely with colleagues across the organization from marketing and system design to layout and manufacturing.

Qualifications:

  1. Masters' graduate or Ph.D. in a closely related field.
  2. Relevant work experience in RFIC design.
  3. Proven track record of delivering high-performance CMOS RF transceivers to mass production.

Essential Skills:

  1. Excellent knowledge of RF system analysis and ability to work effectively with RF System and Application Engineers to define the specification.
  2. Experience with design in advanced CMOS technologies (16nm or below).
  3. Strong analytical skills.
  4. Excellent grasp of the integration challenges of complex RF systems-on-a-chip (SoCs).
  5. Expertise in RF IC layout optimization in advanced CMOS technologies and ability to provide effective supervision for layout implementation.
  6. An innovative thinker with a passion for challenging technical problem solving.
  7. A strong team player able to collaborate on complex projects as well as successfully work independently.
  8. Able to communicate effectively with people across different timezones and cultures.
  9. Excellent time management and organization skills.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Experience with Cadence Analog Design Environment.
  2. Experience with EM simulation tools.
  3. Good understanding of RF performance requirements for cellular systems.
  4. Competent in data analysis using Matlab and/or Python.
