Job summary

Teledyne Microwave UK is seeking an RF Engineer to Lead RF front-end design projects for radar systems in Lincoln. You will design RF components and multi‑function assemblies and provide technical input to the broader team while engaging with customers to deliver ready-to-use solutions.

The role requires experience up to 40 GHz, familiarity with CST/HFSS and other microwave tools, and the ability to obtain SC level security clearance. A robust compensation package accompanies this position.

Qualifications

• Accomplished RF/Microwave Design Engineer with FE protection & waveguide limiters experience.
• Experience designing RF microwave components for Defence/Aerospace.
• RF design up to 40 GHz.
• Proficient with CST/HFSS and other microwave tools (AWR/ADS).
• Security clearance up to SC level required.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design and development of RF components, systems and multi‑function assemblies (radar receiver protection, switches, systems, converters, transceivers, amplifiers).
• Provide technical input to other disciplines for complete project delivery.
• Support customer visits with product expertise.

Lead RF front-end design projects for 40GHz radar systems and deliver customer-ready solutions

About The Role

Teledyne Microwave UK RF Circuits and Systems Engineer

You will join our Engineering Team to design RF Circuits and Systems. We design and build leading edge RF technology within the range of 500MHz to 40GHz. You will be responsible for researching new enabling technologies for the Teledyne Microwave UK Roadmap which you will help to shape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed design and development of many types of RF Components, Systems and Multi-function Assemblies in particular:
• Radar receiver protection
• Switches
• Systems
• Converters
• Transceivers
• Amplifiers

Technical input to other disciplines to enable the complete project.

Work with Sales & Marketing to support customer visits and provide product expertise.

What we're looking for in you:

• An accomplished RF and Microwave Design Engineer with experience in RF Front End protection and waveguide limiters.
• Experience in the design of RF microwave components used within the Defence or Aerospace Industry.
• Experience of RF design up to 40GHz.
• Experienced with 3D EM simulation tools CST, HFSS etc.
• Experience with other microwave design tools AWR, ADS etc.
• The successful candidate must be security clearable up to SC level.
