Job summary

Cambridge Aerospace is seeking an Electronics Engineer (RF) to design and deliver RF and microwave electronics across our systems. You will move hardware from prototype to production, supporting air defence platforms as they advance from lab to real-world deployment.

The role covers architecture definition, RF chain analysis, filter design, EM simulations, schematics, layout oversight, and production testing of RF/microwave electronics including PCBs.

Qualifications

• Experience with RF design up to 10GHz (absolute minimum, ideally higher).
• Proven experience in distributed filter design and 2.5D / 3D EM simulation.
• Proven experience in RF chain analysis (and ideally frequency planning).
• PCB design experience over a significant number of boards.
• Experience in power supply design for RF circuits.
• BEng / MEng Electrical & Electronic Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Identify and define the requirements for the architecture of electronic systems in conjunction with the wider engineering team.
• Select components, perform analyses of RF chains, design distributed and hybrid filters, perform 2.5D and 3D EM simulations, draw schematics, direct layout activities, perform initial bring-up testing, and define production testing of RF and microwave electronic systems (including PCBs).
