Job summary

Teledyne Microwave UK in Lincoln is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join a skilled team. You will assemble and test RF and electronic products, ensuring high quality and reliability for specialist radar applications.

The role emphasizes documentation, fault finding, and supporting improvements in manufacturability and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience in electronic/electromechanical assembly, good dexterity, and the ability to read technical drawings and procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronic or electromechanical assembly in manufacturing.
• High manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Experience with hand tools and soldering; understanding of ESD.
• Ability to read technical drawings, build instructions and test procedures.
• Experience meeting production targets in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work extra hours or shift work as required.

Responsibilities

• Assembly & Test - assemble and test RF and electronic products using mechanical assembly, epoxy processes, PCB soldering, and RF assembly following build docs.
• Production Data & Documentation - complete production records, build docs, and test results; update docs as needed.
• Fault Finding & Repair - assist fault finding and repair for production issues and returns; feed issues to Engineering.
• Health, Safety & Compliance - follow HSE requirements, including ESD controls and COSHH.
• Delivery & Performance - meet/exceed production targets while maintaining quality; support flexible working as needed.
• Continuous Improvement - contribute to 5S, visual mgmt, and process improvements; share ideas with team.
