Job summary

Expleo is seeking an experienced RF Test Engineer to join our growing engineering team, supporting the design, development and validation of advanced RF and mixed-signal electronics for defence and high-technology applications.

This role is based on the UK mainland with the flexibility to travel to Templecombe for laboratory activities. Laboratory work is conducted in blocks of weeks at a time, not permanent relocation.

Qualifications

  • Strong RF theory and practical lab experience required.
  • Ability to translate datasheets into practical circuit designs.
  • Experience with RF test equipment and lab validation.
  • Collaborative and able to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design RF analogue and mixed-signal electronics for complex systems.
  • Develop RF transceiver architectures using MMIC/SiP/SoC devices.
  • Create RF schematics and component selections.
  • Design impedance matching networks (L/C matching).
  • Verify RF designs with lab measurements and validation.
  • Collaborate with PCB layout to ensure manufacturability.
  • Integrate RF blocks into larger architectures.
  • Produce test plans, procedures, and documentation.
  • Support RF device configuration and system integration with firmware/software teams.
