Job summary

Expleo Defence in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced RF Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team, supporting the design, development and validation of advanced RF and mixed‑signal electronics for defence and high‑technology applications.

This role is well suited to an engineer with strong practical RF design experience who can take RF solutions from component selection and schematic design through to PCB integration, laboratory validation and system‑level integration.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of RF principles and measurements.
• Ability to interpret RF test results and datasheets.
• Strong problem solving and debugging with RF designs.
• Experience with RF design standards and regulatory requirements.
• Hands-on experience designing RF transceivers using MMIC/SiP/SoC devices.

Responsibilities

• Design RF analogue and mixed-signal electronics for complex engineering systems.
• Develop RF schematics, component selections and circuit designs.
• Design RF impedance matching networks and matching techniques.
• Integrate RF blocks into larger electronic/system architectures.
• Develop and execute RF verification and validation activities.
• Conduct hands-on laboratory testing with spectrum analysers, VNAs, RF signal generators and power meters.
• Produce clear engineering documentation including schematics, design notes and test procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to meet performance requirements.
