Job summary

Anson McCade is seeking an experienced RF Design Engineer to join our defence & high-technology engineering portfolio in Belfast. You will contribute to the design, development and validation of RF and mixed-signal electronics for demanding defence applications, taking practical ownership from schematic design to laboratory verification.

Qualifications

  • Experience in RF analogue and mixed-signal design.
  • Ability to design impedance-matching networks to system requirements.
  • Experience with transceiver architectures and RF front-end design.
  • Knowledge of lab verification using VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and RF test equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop RF analogue and mixed-signal electronics for complex engineering systems.
  • Develop transceiver and RF front-end architectures using monolithic RF chipsets, including MMIC, SiP and SoC-style devices.
  • Design RF schematics, component selections and impedance-matching networks against defined system requirements.
  • Work with PCB layout engineers on signal integrity, grounding, shielding, routing and manufacturability.
  • Plan and execute laboratory verification using VNAs, spectrum analysers, RF signal generators, power meters and oscilloscopes.
