Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Radio Frequency Design Engineer to join its Global Services team in Romsey. The role focuses on designing, developing and testing RF and analogue electronics for defence, electromagnetic warfare, and positioning applications in a high‑impact environment.

Working within a defence and security context, you will contribute across the lifecycle from design through to production support while collaborating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in RF design engineering and RF testing.
• Knowledge of RF and analogue circuit design, simulation and PCB layout.
• Familiarity with RF design tools like Microwave Office and Altium.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate and implement RF and analogue circuits and systems.
• Conduct RF testing, integration, troubleshooting and fault-finding to optimise performance.
• Develop solutions across frequencies from LF to X-band for LNA, receiver and PA apps.
• Prepare design specs, test plans and compliance evidence.
• Support production transfer including environmental and qualification testing.
