Salary

Up to £60,000 depending on experience

Working Arrangements

Hybrid (flexible): On average 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance

British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. Successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an RF Communications DSP Engineer to join the Data Link Systems team. You will be responsible for waveform and algorithm design, development, and implementation on weapon system products, covering the entire development lifecycle from research to verification and validation.

You will need a solid understanding of DSP algorithms, theory, and techniques at the systems level. The role involves working autonomously and within a multi-skilled team, with responsibilities including technical investigations, problem-solving, and proposing innovative design solutions.

This is a rapidly evolving product area within MBDA, offering opportunities to work on both new and established products. Our teams aim to deliver solutions that meet customer requirements within schedule and budget constraints.

What We're Looking For

• Familiarity with real-time digital signal processing systems
• Understanding of waveform design and implementation
• Experience with MATLAB and Simulink
• Systems modelling and auto-code generation
• Firmware coding (Verilog/VHDL)
• Implementation of DSP algorithms on target hardware
• Proficiency in C++
• Knowledge of RF communications in congested and contested EM environments
• Requirements management and systems design skills
• Technical leadership experience
• Excellent communication skills, with ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations
• Comfort with virtual and face-to-face collaboration
