Level 5 Rework Assembly Operator

Position Overview:

Analog Devices Inc., Chelmsford Massachusetts facility is looking for Manufacturing Electro-Mechanical Assembly Operator to support our continued growth in the manufacture of high-performance microwave modules and sub-systems. Customers trust Analog Devices to deliver integrated electronics, and ADI is interested in energetic and organized team players that want to deliver quality products in a high-tech manufacturing environment.

We are looking for 2nd shift electro/mechanical assemblers with:

  • 3-5 years working as a Micro assembly/Mechanical assembly preferred or related experience.
  • All applicants must be team players and highly motivated.
  • This is a hands-on position that requires a strong ability to work on delicate parts utilizing a microscope.
  • Communication skills and a high energy and commitment to quality products are extremely important.
  • Candidates should have soldering skills per IPC-610.

Requirements: The Manufacturing Assembly Operator position requires a high school diploma. A diploma from a Vocational High School or Technical Diploma is a plus.

  • Must be a US citizen and able/willing to obtain a government security clearance.
  • 3-5 years' experience.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, schematics, and rework instructions.
  • High attention to detail with proficient use of a computer.
  • Understanding of RF components and familiarity with military/defense standards beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct precise rework and repairs on semiconductor RF components identified as non-conforming, ensuring their compliance with defense industry standards.
  • Utilize specialized tools and equipment for tasks including wire bonding, die attach corrections, soldering reflows, and component replacement.
  • Accurately interpret and follow rework instructions, technical drawings, and process documentation.
  • Inspect reworked components under microscopes and utilize inspection equipment to validate repairs against rigorous defense-related specifications.
  • Document rework processes clearly, accurately logging corrections, component replacements, and inspection outcomes.
  • Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and engineering teams to resolve recurring issues and suggest process improvements.
  • Maintain cleanroom cleanliness standards and ensure proper handling of sensitive semiconductor components.
  • Immediately report anomalies or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
