Job summary

Derbyshire Wildlife Trust is looking for a Wilder Landscapes Assistant to help deliver nature recovery across North-East Derbyshire. You will assist with project delivery, monitoring and administration, and support community engagement and volunteering activities.

You will work alongside the Wilder Landscapes Officer to create connected, resilient landscapes for wildlife and people, balancing fieldwork with office duties and a flexible hybrid working pattern.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting projects in conservation, environmental or community settings.
• Ability to coordinate volunteers and community activities.
• Practical conservation experience and habitat management exposure.
• Interest in rewilding, nature recovery and nature-based solutions.
• Ability to build relationships with landowners and partners.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Confident communicator with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of nature recovery projects across landscapes.
• Assist with monitoring, administration and reporting.
• Help organise community engagement and volunteering activities.
• Support people to take action for nature and wildlife.
