Job Description:

Position Summary

The Reviewing Medical Officer (RMO) is responsible for reviewing, interpreting, and approving clinical documentation provided by other licensed clinicians prior to release.

Core Responsibilities

• Review psychological assessments of federal employees, contractors, and family members for high-risk occupations requiring psychological screening.
• Possess the knowledge, skills, and experience to personally complete psychological exams for the defined populations.
• Understand and assess recommendations from other clinicians before approval, disapproval, or revision.
• Develop, interpret, and revise written guidelines for psychological examinations and train other clinicians as needed.
• Designate contracted staff for Final Disposition Review Team when appropriate.
• Review field clinician medical reports upon request before official submission.

Requirements

• Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the US (including Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands).
• 5+ years experience in a Medical Review role.
• PhD or PsyD in Psychology.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and time management skills.
• Proven editing and proofreading abilities.
