A leading company is seeking an experienced Housing Benefits Assessment Officer in London. You will be responsible for evaluating claims and ensuring compliance with housing legislation while providing excellent customer service. This opportunity offers flexibility with remote working arrangements.
Housing Benefits Assessment Officer We are seeking an experienced Housing Benefits Assessor to join our team, responsible for evaluating Housing Benefit and Council Tax reduction claims. Key Skills & Experience: Demonstrable experience in processing all types of Housing Benefit/Council Tax Reduction claims. Extensive knowledge of the "Academy" Benefits system. Current understanding of Housing Benefit legislation and the ability to apply it accurately to individual cases. A proactive and customer-oriented approach to resolving inquiries. Responsibilities will encompass all areas, including: New claims and changes in circumstances. Assessment of student claims, claims from individuals from abroad, and self-employed claims. Working with VEP, ATLAS, and Universal Credit files. Experience with temporary accommodation and supported exempt accommodation claims is desirable. This role offers the opportunity for remote working.
