Carlisle Support Services in Leeds is hiring a Revenue Enforcement Officer to join our rail security team in partnership with Northern Trains. You will issue penalties, manage gate access, assist passengers, and represent the company with professionalism.

We offer 40 hours per week, £13.58 per hour, and training to develop your skills. A supportive, inclusive workplace with opportunities for progression and a focus on wellbeing is provided.

Qualificações

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred but enthusiasm to learn is key.
• Willingness to undertake training and develop skills in rail security and customer service.
• Ability to work a mix of early and late shifts in a 40-hour week.

Responsabilidades

• Offer guidance and be a friendly first contact for customers.
• Issue penalty fares to travellers not using the correct travel method.
• Manage electronic ticket gates on the station (training provided).
• Assist passengers needing extra support, guidance or advice.
• Represent the company in a smart, proactive manner.
• Respond to incidents calmly and effectively, maintaining safety.
• Build strong relationships within a supportive team.
• Attend court when required to support prosecutions for travel offences.
• Keep gate lines flowing and adjust as needed during peak times.
• Assist customers with gate usage and exercise discretion when needed.
• Follow directions from the Station Supervisor or Station Manager.

Hours: 40 hours per week mix of earlies and lates

Pay: £13.58 per hour

Previous experience in a customer facing role is great, but if you haven't, that's fine. What's just as important is your enthusiasm and willingness to learn. We will provide all the training and support you need to succeed. Our goal is to help you to become a valued member of the Carlisle team.

Your core responsibilities will include

• Offering guidance, information, and a friendly face as a first point of contact for customers.
• Issuing of penalty fares to those travelling without the correct method of travel
• Manage and control electronic ticket gates on the Station (Training provided)
• Help passengers who require extra support , guidance or advice
• Being a smart, approachable, and proactive presence as a company representative.
• Managing and responding to incidents effectively while remaining calm under pressure.
• Building strong relationships as part of a supportive and professional team.
• Attend court where required to support the prosecution of those who face it due to travelling without correct payment for the journey
• Ensure the ratio of gates is managed to keep the gates fully operational at all times, including changing the gate line flows at peak times
• Assist customers who encounter difficulties using the gates, using discretion when needed
• Work as directed by the Station Supervisor or Station Manager
