Job summary

Linklaters is seeking a Revenue Advisor to partner with partners and matter teams to optimise the revenue lifecycle, support timely billing, and improve collections. This 12-month fixed-term role sits within the Finance function and offers broad stakeholder exposure in a globally connected environment.

You will manage WIP and debt profiles, resolve revenue issues, and drive best practices in fee management.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional services environment with working capital cycle exposure.
• Knowledge of billing processes within a law firm or legal environment.
• Understanding of VAT and associated risks.
• Familiarity with Solicitors' Accounts Rules and their application.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Partners, Matter Managers and Business Managers to manage the revenue cycle and advise on billing and cash collection.
• Build relationships with matter teams; suggest best practices for fee management and financial performance.
• Support Senior Revenue Advisors on priorities and ensure continuity of guidance.
• Review engagement letters and opening information to align with client billing requirements.
• Drive resolution of overdue debts and resolve payment challenges with stakeholders.
• Manage e-billing rejections with client finance teams; investigate and prevent recurrence.
• Maintain accurate WIP and debtor commentary; provide financial reporting and insights.
• Provide guidance on client billing cycles and identify opportunities to improve processes.
