We are seeking a dynamic Revenue Accounting Manager to join a global finance team based in Manchester. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in managing revenue recognition for long-term and short-term contracts across manufacturing, software, and services, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and UK GAAP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the accounting for long-term and short-term contracts, including manufacturing, software, and service contracts with customers.
- Review and monitor the performance of contracts, create cost and revenue forecasts, and ensure accurate revenue recognition.
- Collaborate with project management teams, ensuring timely and accurate financial results, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and insightful analysis.
- Lead the documentation and audit trail for project accounting, ensuring compliance with revenue recognition rules and internal control procedures.
- Drive process improvements in revenue recognition and contribute to system and process enhancements.
- Supervise and develop a high-performing accounting team, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.
What You’ll Bring:
- A Qualified Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- At least 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with 5+ years in revenue recognition and long-term project accounting.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Experience working with large-scale ERP systems (Oracle Cloud and OneStream is a plus).
- Proven project management skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a global environment.
